So, let me first apologize for not writing in quite some time. Life has been crazy! Here is a run down...
-Church granted me a 7 week sabbatical that I took from the end of November till the 2nd week of January. It was awesome and a great time to refocus on life after cancer.
-Our lead pastor takes another job as a D. S. in Upstate New York while I am on sabbatical. This isn't a big deal other than it puts my job in limbo as the new pastor will get to decide if he wants to keep the current staff or get his own. This can be a bit stressful but we have a calm and peace about the entire thing. We have an awesome interim pastor who is doing a great job!
One of the coolest things that happened was this:
-Caleb got to "Make a Wish" and had it granted. He had two options that he was looking at. The 1st- a trip to the Galapagos Islands to see all of the wildlife and sites that you can see there. The 2nd- a trip to D. C. and New York City. Our wish volunteers were super excited and said they were going to push for the 1st option. Well, sure enough, we heard that his 1st choice was granted and so in April (1 month) we will be getting on a plane and heading to the Galapagos Islands for 8 days. We leave April 15th and get back on April 22nd.
So, I am going to start the blog again and use this as a tool to show people pictures and such while we are gone. We are super excited and leave 1 month from today.
Caleb is doing well. He is dancing again and taking classes. He is on spring break so classes have slowed down but will pick up again after break is over. He is going to start at a new studio on Thursday evenings and then go to a master class on Saturdays. We continue to keep in touch with the Elektrolytes. Caleb has finally met all of them and the master class on Saturdays is at their new studio in Gilbert. They take turns teaching and Caleb seems to like it. On Thursdays, he will take from Kyle, an Elektrolyte, at a studio he teaches at in Gilbert also.
So, life is crazy, uncertain, stressful, and hopeful! We are seeking to be who God has called us to be in the midst of it all.
Stay posted...I am not saying I will post daily, but I want to keep everyone in the loop as we journey towards our trip!
Grace and Peace
