First, let me introduce you to our awesome Make-A-Wish volunteers that have worked on Caleb's trip...Chris and Glenn. Here they are with Caleb and Cully after dinner and discussing our plans.
So, here is a rough schedule to let you know what each day will look like for us. (I will give an edited down version of the write up our guide gives us.)

5:30 am- Shuttle picks us up at home and takes us to airport
8 am- Leave PHX for Miami, FL.
10:30 pm- Arrive in Quito, Ecuador. Head to motel, sleep and get up for full day
Tuesday- April 16th

Your included city tour showcases the rich legacy left by the Incas and, later, the Spaniards. See Independence Square, dominated by its formidable Cathedral, San Francisco Plaza Church, and the Basilica with its marvelous stained-glass windows.

Fly to Baltra in the Galapagos. Upon arrival go to highlands of Santa Cruz and visit Giant Tortoises Reserve and the Twin Pit Craters.
Thursday- April 18th
Cruise to Santa Fe, where we will see land iguana and large opuntia cactus forest. The beach is covered by sea lions, and we will snorkel with sea turtles.
Friday- April 19th
Board yacht for South Plaza Island. Wildlife includes sea lions, land iguanas and hybrid iguanas. Also has birdwatcher's paradise where we will see nesting swallow-tailed gulls, masked boobies, blue-footed boobies, red-billed tropicbirds, frigatebirds, pelicans, and Audubon's Shearwaters.
Saturday- April 20th
We will walk to summit of Bartolome Island for view of the Galapagos. See sea lions and penguins swimming and have beach time.
Sunday- April 21st
Visit Darwin Research Station, home of many Galapagos giant tortoises. Fly back to Quito and spend rest of night in city.
Monday- April 22nd
Fly home...should be in PHX at 6:30 pm. Shuttle takes us back home!
This is a very abbreviated schedule because writing out what they gave would be too much. Just know that we will keep you posted daily while we are there (if we have internet).
Make-A-Wish is such an awesome organization! We are so blessed to have them be a part of this journey! They brought a bag full of things for us. These included: books of things to do on the airplane, Caleb a t-shirt, the rest of us make a wish buttons, a debit card that will have spending money for each day while we are there, and luggage tags to make our luggage easily seen. Lucille's BBQ at Tempe Market Place is awesome as well...they totally comped our meal! So, go visit Lucille's...it is a cool business! They were excited we decided to meet there!
So, that is all I have at this point. We are super excited and will post more throughout the week leading up to the trip. We have a few things to get done before then, but we are daily getting things accomplished every day.
If you read this, remember Caleb tomorrow. He goes in for his 3 month (actually the 9th month of being cancer free) check up tomorrow. He has to get an IV to get fluids for CT Scan as well as blood drawn. We find out the results Friday. He isn't real excited about it but we are glad to get it over with before we leave on our trip. He has to be at the hospital by 7:30 am in the morning. He isn't looking forward to it at all, but we will make it through.
I will post more tomorrow!
Grace and Peace!
