Recap of Today- May 1st, 2012

Caleb had a really good day today!  It is really hard to think about taking him back in a day to get more chemo and not know exactly how his body will react.  We know that it will be hard and tough so we really wish we did not have to do it.  These past couple of days have been amazing!  He has had energy, he has been his old self, and he has felt great.  You hate to do anything to your children that will make them feel bad.  But, that is what we must do in order to get rid of what could potentially hurt him even worse if we do not do anything. 

So, it was a great day!  Caleb and Cully went swimming with Uncle Seth (pictre below).  I don't think that they swam hard, but I know with the heat that it felt good to get in the pool.  I wish I could have joined but I was getting a few things done at work today while Caleb is feeling good!

After the swim, we all took Cully to his t-ball practice.  It was a lot of fun and Caleb was so happy to get to watch his brother play t-ball.  He has missed his games and practices up until this point and was feeling like he wasn't being a good big brother.  So, he was cheering him on and was super happy to be out there supporting his brother...even if it was just practice.

After practice, we were back home.  We ate, watched a little TV together, and then got Caleb and Cully in the shower and to bed a little early tonight.  They were both pretty tired and so we wanted to get them to bed so they could get some much needed sleep.

Caleb will start his next round of chemo on Thursday and it should be a clinic only visit.  He will have Friday off and then check back into hospital on Saturday monring for the rest of his cycle.  We would love your prayers leading up to this cycle as we will be getting ready for whatever this round of treatment will bring us.  We are praying for grace...grace for Caleb and for his parents (and Uncle Seth).   We are also for healing to happen in his body and that the chemo will do what it is supposed to do.

Once again, today was a great day!  We are believing tomorrow will be another great day!  We should find out what time we will begin on Thursday tomorrow and as soon as I know, I pass on the information.
