As I look out my window, it is shaping up to be another nice day! Hot I am sure, but nice.
Caleb is doing good right now. He is hungry because they do not allow him to eat or drink before his procedure. He is a little nervous about today. We just got done talking through what is going to happen and once he was reassured that it isn't going to be as long as last week he is ok again. He just needs to be reminded again and again which we are fine to help with.
They actually came in at 7:15 this morning and said, "Transport is here to take you to your procedure" and we were like "what?". On one of their computer sheets, it still said that he was going in early. The nurse called a few people and we got it all figured out.
They are supposed to come and pick him up around 9:30 am and things get started around 10 am. The hardest part about this is Caleb can't eat. He just mentioned again that he wants to eat. He said, "Your saying I can't eat just one thing?" I told him I was hungry as well and that we were doing this together.
This mornings test will be the action for the day. This afternoon or evening we should be able to see how things are going and get ready to start more chemo tomorrow. We are a little nervous about the reports...our minds often go to thinking they may find more or find something different that they missed. They have assured us that this is not likely and actually is the worst case scenario. It doesn't mean that it doesn't at least enter our mind. This afternoon should be relaxing and chill. Caleb already has his plans for chilling...watching some movies, playing some X-box, maybe coloring some and listening to music.
But it is a new day and another day towards hearing the phrase that will be music in our ears...Caleb is in remission! Who knows how long till we hear it, but we believe in a big God and if it takes 1 month or 1 year, we are believing and fighting towards that day!
Romans 8 says, "The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the same Spirit that lives in you." (My paraphrase). Whatever may be on the horizon, we are not facing this alone! The Resurrection Spirit is alive and well and is journeying with us every second of every day!
We will keep you posted!
Grace and Peace
Lifting you in prayer. Praying for good news!
