A New Day- April 29th, 2012

Caleb and Cully are still sleeping and Tera and I are getting ready for church.  Caleb had a good night.  Tera said he only woke up once.

Here in a bit, we will head to church.  I am excited because I get to teach our teens this morning about Blessed are the peacemakers.  We will be challenging them to be peacemakers instead of peace lovers.  It should be fun!

We are going to have a port room at church today!  You ask, "What is that?" Last week, I texted the Gokee's to see if they were going to be at church with Cooper.  Jeff, his dad, said that his wife was going but that he was staying home with Cooper.  Caleb cannot be a part of the children's thing that happen in the children's building.  Cooper has been in the same place although this may change with his treatment.  So, I thought I would find a room at church that has our service streamed on a TV and allow Caleb and Cooper to hang together with their families and their families could still in some way be a part of the service.  So, we have a room for people with ports and their families.  Caleb is pretty excited!

After church, we will be chilling.  Tonight, we are having dinner with the Knudson's and Jose.  Jose is a student in our youth group who has been living with us for a few months.  When we found out Caleb had cancer, we were in the hospital for 3 weeks.  It was becoming harder to get Jose where he needed to be when he needed to be there.  So, the Knudson's said he could come live with them for awhile.  Tonight, we are going to talk about what the next part of this journey looks like.  We ask for your prayers as we meet and discuss what needs to happen next.

So, it we are expecting a good day.  Since I started typing, Caleb woke up and is now eating Fruit Loops and reading as I type.  Caleb says, "Hi!  He is doing good and he wants everyone to have a good day!"

It is a day to praise God for all He has done!

I will keep you posted.

Grace and Peace
