Caleb is getting ready to start his 2nd cycle of chemo. Today, we are hoping to begin giving him the medicine in 5 minutes. The nurse was just in (by the way, it is Mel again and she is awesome!) and she was walking us through this medicine and what it will be like. It is a very involved medicine with any checks to see how Caleb is doing and how his body is reacting. They have given him 3 pre-meds to help fight off the side effects. She said that this dose will probably take 6 hours to get through.
That is so different than last week. I am almost sure that nothing took over 15 minutes last week.
So, that is what our afternoon will be. We are hanging in 7122 and will be for a little bit!
