So, there wasn't much blog activity happening today because there wasn't really much to report. No tests, no blood drawn, no scans, no anything. It was nice! Here is a recap of the day.
Tera spent the night in the hospital with her Aunt Di. The report is that Caleb was up peeing a lot. This isn't so good for sleep but is awesome for his body. This allows fluid that have built up to exit his body. So, although it keeps us up, we do
not consider it that big of deal.
I woke up, got ready this morning, and went to the hospital. When I got there, Tera and Aunt Di went back home to spend some time with Cully and Nanna. So, it was Caleb and myself at the hospital. We had a good day. We went to the outside garden and read some. We played with Caleb's I-pod a bit so he could figure out how to use it. We did some multiplication on the computer (have to get back into doing some school). We had doctors come in and tell us that he was doing very well. We hung out with our favorite nurse thus far, Arica. She is awesome and we were sad to say goodbye tonight as she is off for the rest of the week. We colored. We watched a few videos. We went to the play room and made a craft. Caleb ate a lot (which is another awesome thing). I am sure we did a few other things, but all in all it was a chill day.
We did learn that they will be running his scans Wednesday again for sure to see what his first round of chemo was able to do to the cancer. They will be running a full body CT scan, a PET scan, and checking his bone marrow as well. Then, we will get a road map of when the next treatments will be and how intense they will be. His next round of chemo will start Thursday. After they are done, as soon as his counts are acceptable, we will get to go home. Obviously not for good, but for a few weeks. That will be great! That will be a huge day in our families life, especially Cully's. Today when we were saying good bye for the night and he was hugging his mom, he said, "I just want all of us to go home!" He speaks for us all.
So, an uneventful day...which trust me, we love!
Tomorrow morning I will be going to Caleb's class and talking with his friends about Caleb and all that is happening. I am sure they have a lot of questions and I am gong to do my best to answer all of them. Then, we are going to try and end our session with a live skype time with Caleb. It should be a lot of fun!
I will post more tomorrow. It is another chill day, so pray for a good day of being together and enjoying each others presence.
Grace and Peace!
