Ok...actually it is a six letter word. But I promise you it sounded like a four letter when the dr said it last night to Tera and myself. CANCER...What? My little Caleb might have what? So many people have described it before...room spins, numbness, outer body experience...and it is all true. You hear so many people talk about it but never think that it will happen to you. How many times have you heard that...but it is true.
Honestly, we have no diagnosis for anything at this point. However, we did move rooms tonight to a much nicer room in PHX Childrens Hospital which we are grateful for. But, it is on the oncology floor. Not sure if they know something and are not telling us or if it is just a thinking ahead if it is cancer. So we are praying hard. Tomorrow morning, April 4th, 2012, at 11 am pacific time, they will take tissue out of Caleb to see if it is cancer or not. I am not sure what a Wed at 11 am normally looks like for you, but we would covet your prayers. Pray for healing, pray for drs as they do what God has given them the gift and knowledge to do, pray for Tera, Cully and myself as we continue this journey and that God will help us be who we need to be for each other. Pray for nothing to be found. Pray for us, that if we hear that 4 letter word, we will have the grace and strength to continually walk the road before us knowing that God will be with us every step of the way. Pray for Caleb...his body hurts a lot, his stomach is swollen, and He has a lot of questions...I mean a lot. He is scared like any other 8 year old boy would be.
A group of people are meeting at the hospital tomorrow morning at 10:30 am to pray. If you are in PHX area and would like to join that would be awesome!
I will post tomorrow with any information we may receive.
Grace and Peace!
